One of our writers recently took a trip to The Junction, a restaurant in the Claremont Village where students, faculty, and staff would often go for lunch or dinner. Unfortunately, between the time of his review article being written and right now, the restaurant closed down. So we have posted the review here as an encouragement to go explore new places and new restaurants, since you never know when they might close down.
The Junction 1 N Indian Hill Blvd, Claremont, CA 91711 $, 4 out of 5 stars As a freshman who had only eaten at the Hoch and McConnell since arriving here, I was curious as to what food options the Claremont Village had to offer. After hearing many recommendations from upperclassmen, I found myself at The Junction, an Asian-fusion inspired restaurant. The Junction offers many trendy spin offs of signature dishes. With orders such as bibimbap burritos, avocado mango salads, and kimchi quesadilla rolls, the food they serve may not be the most authentic, but is certainly interesting and enjoyable. Meals at The Junction can be a bit more on the pricier side; however, the serving sizes make them very much worth the cost. I highly recommend sharing an entrée, such as the sloppy burrito, among a couple of friends. Although it won’t be a regular stop on my trips to The Village, I most definitely see myself going back to The Junction (when I’m not drowning in problem sets).
